Check out this video we did for Franco, a young hockey player from NJ who was recently diagnosed with cancer. He's a tremendous warrior whose story has inspired and touched the hearts of so many others. Superhero Fitness Challenge
Thank you to Don Saladino for his generous donation to Ronald McDonald House. Don teamed up with longtime supporter and friend, Sebastian Stan (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers) for his March Superhero Challenge. Together they hosted a month-long fitness challenge and donated proceeds to RMH-NY!

Merry and Bright(cove)
MDC was proud to help Brightcove with their first ever virtual holiday concert with music from the Boston Pops Orchestra and other musical guests. Actor Jack Black joined for a special reading of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and Michael J. Fox touched hearts with a beautiful and inspiring holiday message. Proceeds benefited St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Ronald McDonald House New York, and Ronald McDonald House Los Angeles.

Kristen Bell + Hello Bello Help NICU Babies
MDC wants to give another huge shout out to KRISTEN BELL and the team at HELLO BELLO! They provide affordable, quality, cruelty-free products for kids and families but they're also in the business of giving back. We are so grateful for Kristen's generosity over the years and were thrilled to work with Hello Bello this November to organize the BIGGEST donation of the LITTLEST diapers for Ronald McDonald House New York and hundreds of babies in NICU (neonatal intensive care) at Kings County Hospital and Elmhurst, two of the hardest hit hospitals in the nation during the height of the COVID pandemic. Thank you to Kristen Bell and Hello Bellow for all your love, care, and consideration for our wallets, our kids, and our planet!

MDC teamed up with Paramount to host a virtual screening of Love & Monsters starring Dylan O'Brien (Maze Runner, Teen Wolf, American Assassin) and Ariana Greenblatt (The One and Only Ivan, Disney's Stuck in the Middle). Thanks to Paramount for the complimentary screening and thanks to Dylan and Ariana who were kind enough to do a virtual Q+A with kids from half a dozen NYC-based hospitals after the families had a chance to watch the film!

Spotlight: Taylor and Dylan
For Ronald McDonald House New York's first ever virtual Gala, MDC was proud to produce some key spotlight pieces - including a virtual Q+A between actor Taylor Kitsch and a special little boy named Dylan. Dylan is a survivor of Stage IV high-risk neuroblastoma cancer, which he's battled since he was just four years old. Dylan and Taylor first met a few years ago at our Face Off to Fight Cancer hockey event and have a very unique friendship.

Face Off to Fight Cancer Flashback (Part II)
Here are some behind the scenes highlights from our Face Off to Fight Cancer event last year. This event is so important because it brings together many different members of the community across a number of different business sectors -- all united in a common goal: to raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer. We were honored to be joined by kids and families from Ronald McDonald House New York and privileged to hear their stories and connect with each other one deeply personal level. All our guests brought family or loved ones, making it a truly warm and intimate event and one of my favorites every year.

Face Off to Fight Cancer Flashback (Part I)
One year ago we were so proud to come together with esteemed members of our community to raise money for kids battling cancer and cancer research. We hold the event every October and the event attracts and includes members of law enforcement; the FBI; US Marshals; military (active and retired); the hotel, health, travel, food, beverage and hospitality industries; and more. We were also honored to be joined by Hollywood actors and musicians like Robert De Niro, Liam Neeson, Taylor Kitsch, Liev Schreiber, Sebastian Stan, Matisyahu, and Malik Yoba, as well as many legendary NHL players! Sadly we had to cancel this year due to COVID but here's some game/event highlights from last year and God-willing we hope to see you all on the ice again soon!

MDC Goes to Spain
At the end of the pandemic, MDC teamed up with Avengers' star Sebastian Stan to bring hope and awareness to children impacted by COVID in Spain. MDC helped to coordinate visits with Somos NUPA and Colectivo CAJE. NUPA provides housing, financial support, and critical care for kids suffering from organ failure (and post-transplant) and raises money for research. CAJE works with teachers, educators, and social workers to help at-risk youth. Their camps and facilities give kids a safe space to learn, laugh, play, enjoy healthy meals, and build their futures. Thank you to these wonderful organizations and Sebastian Stan for jumping through many hoops to make these visits happen once travel restrictions lifted!
Happy Hearts Mask Campaign
MDC and our partners at Tenth and Pike, TM Designs and Con-Tees are very proud that our mask campaign went global, and that with the help of some special friends we were able to donate masks to a dozen hospitals and pediatric ICU's. Thanks to Sebastian Stan, Taylor Kitsch, Kristen Bell and more for helping our kids help other kids, and to friends at PlayDoh/Hasbro and more!
Kids Helping Kids
MDC is proud to launch our HOPE campaign to help get masks to kids in need! Created BY kids FOR kids, we're donating much-needed masks with every purchase. You can buy a shirt, decorate your own shirt, or simply make a donation to help us get masks to children in pediatric hospital units, foster care, homeless shelters and more. Our shirts were designed by 5yr-old Isla who wants to spread a message of HOPE during these difficult times. Our masks were designed by Isla and her friend "Dynamic Dylan", an 8yr-old pediatric cancer survivor. They were designed to spread some cheer and are BUY ONE, GIVE ONE! They're handmade in the US, lightweight, breathable, adjustable and perfect for summer.

Who Do You #StayHome For?
At the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, MDC produced a "Stay Home" PSA which asked friends to share who they #StayHome in honor of. This was meant to recognize and salute our friends and family on the front lines in healthcare, law enforcement and in the service industry -- for them, staying home was not an option. The video includes tributes from actors Liam Neeson, Sebastian Stan, Taylor Kitsch and William Moseley, as well as clips from children of NYPD and NJ police officers, FDNY, doctors, and nurses in the NYC metro area.

Above and BEYOND (Meat)
MDC was happy to team up with actress Jessica Chastian and Beyond Meat as part of their Feed A Million+ meal pledge! Since the pandemic began, MDC helped direct over 8k meals each week to 35+ hospitals, police precincts, fire stations, homeless shelters, and senior citizen centers in New York and New Jersey.

Tunnel To Towers PPE Campaign
MDC was proud to help Tunnel To Towers purchase much-needed PPE for healthcare workers and first responders in NYC and beyond. This foundation is doing great work with help from MMA star Conor McGregor and was honored by President Trump for their commitment and service to those on the front lines. MDC worked with friends like Avenger's star Sebastian Stan and actress Jessica Chastain, among others, to raise money to purchase 100,000 US-made shields from Relyco which were distributed on the front lines in New York.
2020 Skate with the Greats
Great night with some Hall of Fame New York Rangers who came out to raise money for Ronald McDonald House New York at their 26th Annual Skate with Greats. Many thanks to Brian Leetch, Rod Gilbert, Adam Graves, Ron Duguay, Glenn Anderson, Colton Orr, Stephane Matteau, Chris Kotsopoulos, Steve Vickers, Nick Fotiu, Brian Mullen, and Tom Laidlaw for stepping out to help the families. All class all the way!! MDC was honored to bring a very special guest - musician (and Face Off to Fight Cancer alumni) Matisyahu!
10 Years of Studio Sneak Peeks
Exactly 10 years ago today, DreamWorks was the FIRST studio to approve my request to host private screenings for children who were too sick to attend a regular theater but for whom movies were a big part of their recovery and escape from the painful reality of battling cancer. Together we screened "How to Train Your Dragon" with Gerard Butler and Jay Baruchel as a trial run. Since then we've been so fortunate to screen hundreds of films for thousands of families and meet tons of amazing people in the process!! One year ago, everything came full circle when MDC teamed up to screen "How To Train Your Dragon 3" and Jay Baruchel and director Dean DeBlois came by as a surprise. It was another very emotional day and I'm so grateful to these guys and to ALL the incredible cast & crew who've participated in our Studio Sneak Peeks program over the last decade. These milestone moments would not be possible without the generosity and support of so many; especially Bryant Park Hotel, Hasbro, NYPD, our amazing studio partners and all those willing to go the extra mile to help lift the spirits of a child in need. We are forever grateful.
Sonic the Hedgehog
MDC was thrilled to screen Sonic the Hedgehog with James Marsden, who stars alongside Jim Carrey, for about 80 families whose kids are undergoing treatment at nearby hospitals. We were joined by families from Ronald McDonald House New York, The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund and Lollipop Theater Group. Many thanks to our amazing friends at Paramount, Allied Global, ID-PR, NYPD, and the one and only James Marsden for giving these kids such a special treat!!
Hello Bello in the House
What is Disney's equivalent to a Marvel or DC superhero?? A princess who also pulls double duty as a fairy godmother!!! KRISTEN BELL aka Princess Anna from Frozen is full of magical surprises. As a wonderful way to ring in the New Year, Kristen sent MDC an entire freight truck full of a wide range of goodies from her natural, affordable product line HELLO BELLO to gift to hundreds of kids and families at Ronald McDonald House New York and surrounding hospital partners. Even preemie diapers for babies in NICU! We are so grateful for Kristen's continued generosity and friendship over the years. Thank you Kristen and the whole team at Hello Bello!
NHL Enforcer George Parros visits RMHNY
MDC was thrilled to bring former NHL enforcer GEORGE PARROS (who starred in Goon: Last of the Enforcers with Liev Schriber) to meet some young hockey fans staying at Ronald McDonald House New York while undergoing cancer treatment at one of their hospital partners. George and our friend Marc Siden came loaded with so many big boxes of hockey swag that instead of gifting it out to the kids, we took over the dining room and laid everything out so they could take whatever they wanted. Everyone was thrilled to get pictures wearing his giant Stanley Cup ring. Thanks so much to George for bringing so much joy to the House!
The Last Full Measure
MDC was honored to work with Sebastian Stan and the incredible cast and crew of TLFM to screen it for a distinguished group of veterans and active duty servicemen and women from the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Special Forces Foundation, Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, The Gary Sinise Foundation, American Legion, Veterans of NYPD + FDNY, Operation Heal Our Heroes, Veterans in Media & Entertainment, and more. Law Enforcement Appreciation Day 2020
MDC was honored to help produce a live segment for National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on Fox & Friends with some of the highest-ranking men and women from New York and New Jersey. Dr. Celeste was featured on the panel and discussed what it means to be a police officer. MDC is proud to help highlight those who wear the badge with honor and distinction. Thanks to all the Colonels, Commissioners, Chiefs, Captains, Lieutenants, Sergeants, Deputies, Detectives, State Troopers, Motorcycle Units, Officers and Patrolmen who came to represent their communities today. Thank you for your service and thank you for choosing such a noble profession.

Matisyahu's Festival of Light Concert
Rapper/reggae musician Matisyahu attended and skated in MDC's 2019 Face Off to Fight Cancer charity hockey event and we were honored and excited to attend his winter Festival of Light concert in Brooklyn, NY. What an incredible performance! This guy has a generous heart, an amazing voice, he's talented beyond belief...and he can skate! Is there anything he can't do??
Amy Poehler Spreads Holiday Cheer
MDC was proud to organize a special event for the families at Ronald McDonald House New York on Christmas Day. SNL alum Amy Poehler came by to spread some holiday cheer and spent the afternoon decorating sugar cookies with the kids. She also gifted them 5 brand new Xboxes for their playroom! Thanks so much to Amy for making the day extra special for the many children who couldn't go home for the holidays. And many thanks to Kovert and Xbox for their kindness and generosity.
Jumanji: The Next Level
Kids from Ronald McDonald House New York and surrounding hospitals got a special treat -- a private early screening of Jumanji: The Next Level with a surprise visit from the one and only JACK BLACK. Thank you so much to Sony Pictures and Lollipop Theater for setting up a magical afternoon for the families and to Landmark Theaters, NYPD, Jack and Kovert Creative for your continued time, generosity and support.
RMHNY 40th Anniversary Celebration
Ronald McDonald House New York celebrated 40 years of dedicated service to families during their greatest hour of need. 40 years of providing a loving home away from home and around-the-clock care for thousands of children who are battling cancer. MDC's founder was honored to help chair the event and is enormously grateful to all the many supporters, partners and colleagues who helped make the evening so memorable. Many thanks to Nel and her team at RMHNY for their endless energy, dedication, love and commitment to the families in their care.
Hopeland Holiday Gala
MDC was proud to celebrate the many dedicated and passionate advocates & activists committed to helping the 135 million orphaned children in the world today. Thank you to Deborra-lee Furness and Nick Evans of Hopeland for bringing HOPE to children all over the world with your relentless push to keep them in the spotlight and make sure their voices are heard. Deb and her husband Hugh Jackman have done so much in their native Australia to shift the adoption narrative and now her focus has expanded to include the ENTIRE world. A HUGE thank you to Nigel Barker, Chris Martin, Coldplay, Keala Settle, Anthony Nunziata, Jessie Mueller and Mickey Guyton for making last night so special!
21 Bridges Screening
MDC was grateful for the unique opportunity to host a private screening of "21 Bridges" for the NYPD, NJPD and FBI. Thank you to Allied Global, STX, Tribeca Film Center and Greenwich Tavern for helping to make this night so special for the real-life heroes who help keep our families and our communities safe. Thank you to all the officers and agents for your service and sacrifice.
World Children's Day at the UN
MDC was honored to attend World Children's Day 2019 at the United Nations. David Beckham made a passionate plea to world leaders and a heartfelt pledge to future generations. He spoke from decades of experience, as a father and also as a longtime UNICEF Ambassador who has traveled the world many times over and seen children living in the poorest and most dangerous conditions imaginable. Millie Bobby Brown spoke out against bullying, Deborra-lee Furness spoke on behalf of Hopeland, and Keala Settle (The Greatest Showman) brought down the House with a powerful rendition of her anthem 'This Is Me'. Hopeland also unveiled a beautiful sculpture in the lobby of the UN. MDC Productions was thrilled to be part of such a landmark event for them and historic day.
Taylor Kitsch on NHL Network
Over 400 Fans who attended MDC's 2019 "Face Off to Fight Cancer" event voted Taylor Kitsch as game MVP. Taylor later joined the NHL network to discuss the event. We can't thank Taylor enough for being such a big part of this event!

2019 Face Off to Fight Cancer
On behalf of MDC Productions, big thanks to all the law enforcement officers, federal agents, NHL players, musicians, movie stars and fans who came out to our 3rd annual "Face Off to Fight Cancer" charity hockey event. We packed the rink on a rainy Sunday and by dinner, the skies were clear, the sun was out, and it was a beautiful day all around!! Not sure how a team with 4 NHL players can lose to the NYPD but we'll break down the game later. Thanks to Chelsea Piers and all our event sponsors and supporters. To every vendor and volunteer; to every friend, family member, or colleague who reached out to help. We are humbled by the amount of goodwill we are able to put back into the world and very proud of what we can accomplish together. Until there's a cure, the next best thing is making a commitment to come together to help kids and families as they battle cancer. Thank you all so much!!!

Broadway Inspirational Voices 25th Anniversary Kickoff
What a privilege it was to attend the 25th Anniversary kickoff celebration honoring Broadway Inspirational Voices. Founder Michael McElroy, recently honored at this year's Tony Awards, is a true visionary who has encouraged countless Broadway artists over the last two decades to come together and raise their voices to inspire, uplift and raise money to help transform lives. Their mission is to bring hope, love and light to people from all walks of life through the healing power of music and the arts. They work with the biggest movie stars and musical artists on some of the grandest stages in the world (hello Hugh Jackman), but even more importantly they're committed to working with children fighting cancer, the homeless and young kids living in some of the most poverty-stricken areas of the country. Here's a clip of a song they sang which reminds us that even during the most difficult times, we are never truly alone (even when it feels that way). If every child battling disease, illness, bullying, depression or loneliness could hear this song and feel the unconditional truth, love and passion they've laced through every single word, they would be so comforted to know there are good people in the world who have been in their shoes, fought similar fights and have overcome similar challenges...and now they're working hard to make things better for others.

James McAvoy Sweepstakes Winner
Huge thanks to James McAvoy, aka Professor X, for all the effort he put into our recent sweepstakes benefiting Ronald McDonald House New York. Through his dedicated efforts, James raised nearly $75,000 thanks to his slightly drunken but brilliant idea at this year's Oscars. Additionally, James signed 60 posters and 100 collectors edition "X-Men: Legends" toys generously donated by our friends at Hasbro. James was also kind enough to sign and send the shirt he work in X-Men: Days of Future Past, along with some signed Annie Liebovitz photos from his personal collection. Congratulations to the big winner, Agnes Rathjen, from England. Thank you so much to all who donated!!

So grateful to the incomparable Nick Evans & Deborra-lee Furness (co-founders of Hopeland) for all the groundbreaking work they're doing to advocate for orphaned, abandoned, underprivileged and disadvantaged children all over the world. 2019 Tony Awards Rehearsal with James Corden
MDC was thrilled to be invited behind the scenes of the 2019 Tony Awards with a very special VIP guest! We got to see host James Corden, Samuel L. Jackson, Laura Linney, Kristen Chenoweth, Lucy Liu, Ben Platt and many more Broadway stars as they got ready for their big night! My favorite performance was James Corden in the bathroom with Josh Groban, Sara Bareilles and Neil Patrick Harris! My least favorite performance was my own when I tripped on the red carpet that workers were still trying to tape down on 5th Ave 😜. Thank you so much to @swoop_ny for this incredible opportunity!
Kevin Heart visits Ronald McDonald House New York
MDC would like to thank Kevin Hart (the self-proclaimed "tallest guy in the room") for proving he definitely has the biggest heart!! Kevin came to spend time with kids at Ronald McDonald House New York and help lift their spirits after a very difficult week. He came bearing gifts and as an added surprise, he also brought his new movie for the kids to watch! Secret Life of Pets 2 is great and hits theaters next month. Thank you Kevin for bringing so much love, positivity and laughter into our lives. And to our dear friends at Universal, we are forever grateful for your continued support and generosity!!

Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Awards
Muhammed Ali said "Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than explore their power to change it." The 2019 Tribeca Disruptor Award Winner was Mick Ebeling, founder of Not Impossible Labs. Mick was one of many incredible, inspiring and brilliant honorees we got to meet yesterday, including some Nobel Prize winners and Nelson Mandela's grandson. Mick continues to distinguish himself from the pack by using technology and data to create groundbreaking and innovative solutions to some of the world's biggest problems. He was recently named one of Forbes "Greatest World Leaders" and this is his second time winning this award. MDC was honored to be here and congratulates Mick Ebeling!
Amber Heard visits Ronald McDonald House New York
York. Amber was so unbelievably gracious, sweet and thoughtful. She made time to connect with each child, put everyone at ease and even switched to fluent Spanish when needed! She's not afraid to stand up for herself and on behalf of those in need and she's been a strong and courageous advocate for millions of others, especially women. It's great to know she's a truly kind, genuine and compassionate individual in real life as well. Thank you again Amber!!

MDC was pleased to be invited to the late night premiere of Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Bile with Zac Efron and Lily Collins. Both the movie and panel event afterwards were amazing!

MDC would like to thank our friends at Cloud Water for inviting us to their launch event. Regular bottled water won't cut it anymore! Best sparkling water we've ever had.
Pokémon World Premiere
MDC would like to thank Justice Smith for taking time on the red carpet to come meet Nemo, who loves Pokémon and was so excited to meet him!! This was Justice's big night as the star of the film and even though the event was right in Times Square and there were thousands of fans screaming for his attention, Justice and his publicist Lauren made time to come over and say hello to Nemo, who is currently undergoing treatment for pediatric cancer. It's this compassion from people like Justice and Lauren that continues to give me hope when things get tough, and it's moments like these that continue to fuel the work I'm trying to do for these brave young kids and their families.
Story Tellers - M.J. Fox and Dennis Leary
MDC Productions was pleased to be at an amazing panel with Denis Leary and Sir Michael J. Fox, a "national treasure". After receiving the devastating news that he had Parkinson's, M.J. Fox started his own foundation which is now the largest funder of Parkinson's disease research in the world. He spoke about how difficult it was to have spinal surgery because he had to learn to walk again. During his recovery, he took a bad fall and had moments where he'd lament how long it took him to do things many of us take for granted. But then he had an epiphany. With Parkinson's (or any disability), everything takes twice as long and as a result, life moves much slower. But that doesn't have to be a bad thing! By shifting his perspective, he was able to appreciate each moment and just feel grateful to be alive. Every single step he takes is literally one into the great unknown -- maybe he'll fall down, maybe he won't -- but either way he knows he'll always get up, keep fighting and keep living the best way he knows how. And he's not just fighting for his own life, dignity, sanity and happiness. He's also fighting for millions of others who suffer from Parkinson's and other similarly crippling neurodegenerative diseases. The man is a LEGEND...and he's a pretty famous actor too!

Avengers Endgame
It's the end of an era! MDC sends our heartfelt congratulations, deepest gratitude and very best wishes to the AVENGERS. We've been privileged to get to know many of them over the years and Marvel could not have assembled a better group of guys. Their powerful films entertained and sparked our imagination. Their magical worlds became places kids could escape to when going through hardship. Their characters were brave, funny, flawed and honorable; superheroes we could all aspire to be like. Stan Lee believed "with great power comes great responsibility" and I'm very proud of all their sincere efforts to make this world a better place, one child at a time. Thank you, Avengers, for all the beautiful memories.

Michael James Scott visits RMHNY
The families at Ronald McDonald House New York had a magical afternoon with the wonderful Michael James Scott who plays the Genie in Aladdin on Broadway. It's a beautiful thing to see big smiles on the faces of little kids who are bravely fighting this terrible disease called cancer. MDC would like to thank Michael for being such a warm, bright light for these children and for treating us all with a special live performance! It's true that "they ain't never had a friend like you!"

NYPD vs FDNY 46th Annual Charity Hockey
MDC Productions was proud to be honored at the Anheuser Busch Penalty Box Experience at the 46th annual NYPD vs. FDNY charity hockey game at Madison Square Garden.
MDC's founder, Meagan Celeste and team members were invited down to the penalty box to be recognized on the jumbotron for their work with the NYPD in support of kids battling cancer at Ronald McDonald House New York.
The game ended in a tie after an intense overtime period. Emotions were definitely high as both teams played for the memory of their fallen comrades to a sold out crowd of nearly 20,000.

What do you get when a world swimming champion, a famous trainer and one of the Avengers come together under one roof? Aside from that being a normal day over at Don's gym, it was an extra special one at Ronald McDonald House New York because they were there to spend quality time with kids battling cancer and listen to the parents talk a bit about their struggles. We had an incredibly insightful and meaningful conversation about the power of positivity and we're all truly humbled by the courage and grace displayed by these families. 25th Anniversary of Skate with the Greats
MDC was honored to attend the 25th Annual "Skate With The Greats" event with the New York Rangers to benefit Ronald McDonald House New York. We were on hand to interview many of the players, including Hockey Hall of Famers Rod Gilbert and Brian Leetch who started this event many years ago. Rod received a well-deserved award for his commitment to helping kids and families battling pediatric cancer and the event raised almost a million dollars to help kids battling cancer. Many thanks to the New York Rangers, Garden of Dreams Foundation and RBC Capital for always putting on such an amazing event!

James McAvoy Brings Joy
James McAvoy has played many amazing, iconic roles in his distinguished career. He plays 24 different characters in his new movie alone! But here's one side you don't get to see on the big screen and this time he's not acting. James is a kind, humble, down-to-earth guy and it's hard to picture our compassionate, empathetic friend as 'The Beast'! James took time from an insanely busy schedule promoting "Glass" and getting ready to host SNL to meet these kids and learn more about how parents cope in the face of such a devastating diagnosis. Very hard to describe the impact of his visit in words, but the video captures some of the smiles and happy memories that will be treasured forever.

National Law Enforcement Day
MDC was honored to work with the producers of Fox & Friends to help produce a 2hr live segment for National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. We gathered nearly 100 police chiefs, captains, state troopers, detectives, federal agents, officers and even the NJ State Police Pipes & Drums from precincts throughout New York and NJ to come out and share what it means to be a police officer. We were proud to shine a well-deserved spotlight on Dr. Richard Celeste for his long and highly-decorated career in law enforcement. Dr. Celeste is the father of MDC founder, Meagan Celeste. We formed our Active Response Team to provide civilian support for First Responders like him and many others. Dr. Celeste was deputy chief of detectives and director of one of the top police academies in the country. He has trained over 30K officers, is a college professor of criminal justice, a published author and the first certified litigation specialist in the tristate area. He is a lifetime achievement award recipient from the FBI and the International Association of Martial Arts for his excellence in law enforcement training.

MDC Brings Santa to Fox News
MDC was proud to help Fox & Friends put together a live news segment that offered parents tips for helping their child avoid a meltdown when getting their photo taken with Santa. We were able to help secure the most amazing Santa Claus (Real Beard Santa Joe) and provide some children for the segment, including Isla Nemeth who is the daughter of MDC's president, Meagan Celeste. MDC Attends Hopeland Screening of The Front Runner
MDC was honored to be invited to a first-look screening of The Front Runner, a thought-provoking look at the controversial rise and fall of presidential candidate Gary Hart that provided the backdrop for today's sensational political climate and celebrity culture. The film stars Hugh Jackman, who joined the event and spoke about his experience making the movie. Gary Hart once said that while most people think America is a democracy, we're actually a republic and the only way a republic works is if everyone is willing to embrace their civic duty. Truer words were never spoken. Imperfect and flawed, Gary Hart was still a sympathetic figure who wanted to live a life of public service, not a life in the public eye. The conversation was especially poignant to have on a bittersweet day when America said goodbye to the much-loved President Bush who won the election when Hart withdrew; another charismatic and intelligent politician who embraced his own civic duty through distinguished military, public and political service. These parents deal with tremendous anxiety on a daily basis so Don gave them some exercises they can do daily to relieve stress & get their blood pumping. Don is a fitness expert & celebrity trainer to stars like Ryan Reynolds, Liev Schreiber, Emily Blunt, Jake Gyllenhaal, Sebastian Stan & Hugh Jackman just to name a few. MDC Attends the FARE Gala at Ziegfield Ballroom
MDC had a wonderful time at the FARE Gala where guests were treated to an incredible performance from Jessica Vosk, star of 'Wicked' on Broadway and was so excited to meet a young girl who became the first person in the world to overcome food allergies through immunotherapy, part of the groundbreaking research driven and funded by FARE. MDC Attends NYU's "Delete Cancer" Event
MDC was proud to attend NYDM's "Delete Cancer" event at NYU in support of Kenroy Ramsey who was a guest at Ronald McDonald House with his son Joshua. Kenroy performed an original song he wrote called "Beautiful" which is dedicated to the nurses and doctors who helped his son defeat leukemia...twice. The funds benefit The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, an organization which provides financial and emotional support for children and families battling pediatric cancer. In addition, the organization provides funding for pediatric cancer research with the goal of finding a way to mitigate the physical pain experienced by those living with the disease.
Instant Family Event with Hopeland + Adoption Share
MDC teamed up with Paramount to host another special screening of "Instant Family" followed by a panel discussion and cocktail reception with the funny, talented and incredibly inspiring director Sean Anders. Joining Sean on the panel was his wife Beth, Deborra-lee Furness + Nick Evans (Hopeland) and Thea Ramirez (Adoption-Share). Thank you to all who came and especially to those working hard every day to advocate on behalf of children in need of a loving home. MDC was proud to support Hopeland at this year's annual Gala event which took place at Urban Zen (home of fashion designer Donna Karan) in New York City on the first and biggest snowstorm of the year. Led by the powerful team of Nick Evans and Deborra-lee Furness, Hopeland is committed to improving the lives of millions of children around the world who are in desperate need of a permanent, loving home. Guests got to chat with Deb's husband, the one and only Hugh Jackman who gave a beautiful and emotional tribute to his wife and were treated to an incredible performance from Keala Settle, Hugh's costar from "The Greatest Showman". MDC was honored to be invited to attend Ronald McDonald House New York's special event with the New York Rangers' Mats Zuccarello and Chris Kreider, which was organized by RMHNY, the Garden of Dreams Foundation and Tao. Many thanks to Benedict Cumberbatch and NBCUniversal for inviting MDC and families from Ronald McDonald House New York to attend the world premiere of The Grinch! The moms were so excited to walk the red (green) carpet, see the movie and hang out with Benedict at the after party at Central Park Zoo. The kids got to make Christmas Tree ornaments, fun glittery headbands and fill up as many bags of candy as they could carry!

Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange, Sherlock Holmes, Imitation Game, Star Trek) was kind enough to make a surprise appearance at a special advanced screening of "The Grinch" at Ronald McDonald House New York. Many thanks to NBCUniversal for sending lots of toys, giveaways, t-shirts and stuffed animals for all the kids. We kept Benedict's visit a secret; at the end of the film he snuck in through a side door and greeted everyone in the Grinch voice. The kids went crazy and were so excited to meet him! Thanks especially to Danielle and Karon for making this such a magical event.

Face Off to Fight Cancer
Top law enforcement officers and federal agents from New Jersey, NYPD, the FBI and Federal Air Marshall Service faced off alongside seven former NHL stars to raise money for kids battling cancer at Ronald McDonald House New York. Joining NHL greats like Ken Danyeko, Sergei Brylin, Colton Orr, Grant Marshall, Brian Mullen, Chris Higgins and George Parros, was actor Taylor Kitsch (Friday Night Lights, Lone Survivor, Only the Brave) and the NYPD Police Commissioner James O’Neill.
Venom Star Tom Hardy at Sony Square
Actor Tom Hardy (star of hit films like Mad Max, Inception, Lawless, The Revenant, Dark Knight, Warrior and many others) was in New York to promote the Sony "Venom" virtual experience at a special event hosted by Sony and Lollipop Theater. Sony invited MDC and children from Ronald McDonald House New York to participate in the event, meet Tom and test out some new video games in the store. It was a wonderful experience and one lucky little boy was gifted a very special bracelet that Tom wore as "Eddie Brock" in Venom!

Jack Black Surprises Kids at Private "House with a Clock in its Walls" Screening

MDC is very proud to collaborate with Hopeland led by the powerful team of Nick Evans and Deborra-lee Furness, to help improve the lives of millions of children around the world who are in desperate need of a permanent, loving home. Several members of MDC's executive team are adopted and we've been actively working with organizations dedicated to improving child welfare, streamlining adoption policies, accelerating foster care reform and reducing human trafficking. A Super Night with Superman
Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, Mission Impossible: Fallout) joined MDC for a fun-filled evening at Ronald McDonald House greeting countless young fans who are staying there while undergoing cancer treatment at one of their 16 area hospital partners. After making a surprise appearance at our earlier movie screening event at Bryant Park Hotel, Henry traveled with us back to the House to spend time with more children who were too young to see his film! Despite being in the middle of an exhaustive global press tour that had him in a different city each day, Henry made these kids a priority and I can't thank him enough. We shared a wonderful evening filled with so much laughter, jokes, lots of hugs and kids giving Henry their best Superman impression. Henry is truly an incredibly sweet kind funny gracious and charismatic super man who radiates goodness and brings hope to those who need it most.

Mission Impossible: Fallout Special Screening with Henry Cavill
MDC was so proud to team up with Paramount to host an advanced screening of Mission Impossible: Fallout for children from Ronald McDonald House New York and the New York Hospital for Special Surgery. Superman Henry Cavill (who plays August Walker in Fallout) made a surprise appearance and stayed after the movie to host a private Q+A with the kids. He shared some great behind-the-scenes stories from filming with Tom Cruise and left the children with a powerful message: "No matter how strong you think Superman is, a child battling cancer is a thousand times stronger. Never forget you are the ones with real strength inside you."
Celebrating Sebastian Stan's Birthday!
Our dear friend Luis recently graduated high school around the same time he learned his cancer was in remission. After spending many years far from home battling his disease and undergoing treatment, he can finally go home. We wanted to send him off with a visit from one of his favorite actors, Sebastian Stan. Guess who was sweet enough to come back (bearing a huge bag of gifts) and spend another afternoon at Ronald McDonald House New York?! We had a fun-filled afternoon full of smiles and laughter; the kids even managed to surprise Sebastian with a cake for his birthday. We wish Sebastian nothing but the best and many more happy birthdays to come!!! Huge thanks to Hasbro who generously donated toys for the kids and to Netania who helped make the entire visit possible.
New Heights Women's Leadership Event
MDC teamed up with New Heights NYC to film their 2018 Women's Leadership Breakfast. The event brought together notable members of the Women's National Basketball Players Association to speak to a young crowd about the value of getting involved in sports at an early age and how that can help shape their lives and careers. They stressed the importance of working hard, following your dreams and having the confidence to help other women. Panelists included Rosalyn Gold Onwude (Emmy-Award Winning Sportscaster), Terri Carmichael Jackson (Director of Operations, Women’s NBPA), Kristin Bernert (Senior VP, Business Operations, New York Knicks) and Kym Hampton (WNBA Legend, Singer, Coach, Model, Actress)
Game Changers in Cancer Research
MDC was privileged to produce a video documenting the landmark achievements of the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation. Each and every discovery they've made has saved countless lives and they continue to fund researchers all around the world who are leaders in their area of expertise. Their global team is led by renowned oncologist and scientist, Dr. Sameul Waxman whose Institute Without Walls completely transformed the cancer research landscape. It was an honor to work with them. Special thanks to John Hedlund and Francesco Nuzzi of Open Iris Entertainment for all their help shooting and producing this video.

Kevin James (Frankenstein) came by to greet families at an advanced screening of Hotel Transylvania 3 -- and he brought his whole family along so they could stay and watch the movie with kids from Ronald McDonald House. The movie was fantastic; it had a great message and was full of laughs. The kids loved it! Special thanks to Peter Lozito and Morgan Prouse @ Sony for making this happen!
Chris Pratt Double Header Thrills Countless Young Fans
Longtime friend and supporter of Ronald McDonald House New York, Chris Pratt recently went above and beyond when he stopped by to hand out Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom toys and gifts to dozens of young fans battling cancer. An added bonus: Chris made a SURPRISE guest appearance later that night at a private screening organized by MDC Productions with the help of our dear friends at NBCUniversal and Bryant Park Hotel. It was a beautiful day for so many families who were able to spend time with MTV's 2018 Generation Award Winner!!

Fleet Week Sails into Manhattan
FLEET WEEK is a time-honored celebratory event put together by the United States Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. For one week each year, active military ships travel to New York bearing thousands of sailors who will come to the city, visit top tourist attractions and invite the public to take guided tours of the ships. MDC was proud to partner with Fleet Week Staten Island!
