Tis the Season of Giving

November 27 2017

It's been a busy few months at MDC!! Here's our LATEST NEWSLETTER which gives a quick recap of some of the highlights from this past summer/fall.  As we gear up for a busy winter season, we encourage friends and colleagues to help us identify some new and unique ways to get involved in giving back to those in need this holiday season!!!

The holidays are a very difficult time for children at Ronald McDonald House New York and a number of area hospitals who are in the city undergoing cancer treatment. Due to their daily chemotherapy, radiation and other treatment schedules, most aren’t able to return home to be with their families.

It is during this time that the House strives to create an extra festive environment to help keep spirits up. In recent years, we’ve seen a number of our Celebrity Responders go above and beyond to bring love and joy to the families who cannot be with their loved ones.

Most recently, ROBERT DE NIRO sent over boxes of coffee and espresso to Ronald McDonald House for people to enjoy over Thanksgiving weekend. CHRIS PRATT and EMILY BLUNT both visited Ronald McDonald House last December to hand out toys and distribute gifts to all the children and their siblings, along with a number of others. KRISTEN BELL extended a private invitation for some of the kids to attend a special Target Wonderland holiday event in Manhattan in which she was an honored guest. The kids were able to design their own tree ornaments, play in a giant snow globe, get their faces painted and enjoy all-you-can-eat ice cream and hot chocolate!

If you, your company or your client(s) have any interest in visiting this winter to spread some holiday cheer, please let us know!! We can organize visits and tours; and can also arrange to bring children to special events throughout the city with a little advanced notice. We are always looking for new and unique opportunities to bring some excitement to these kids who are fighting for their lives and in desperate need of our love and support.
