Jersey City police and former N.J. Devils take to the ice for benefit hockey game.
February 26 2016

The Jersey City Police Department and two former New Jersey Devils will lace up their hockey skates and take the ice this weekend to help raise money for military and law enforcement foundations.

The Devils are sponsoring the event, and two of its former players, Stanley Cup winners Bruce Driver and Colin White, will be playing. Driver, a former captain, was part of the 1995 championship winning team, while White helped the Devils win the Cup in 2000 and 2003.

The game will benefit the Special Operation Warrior Foundation, which provides scholarships, counseling, and tutoring to the children of fallen members of the special forces. Proceeds from the game will also benefit the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, which provides a $30,000 scholarship account for every child who loses a parent serving in the United States Marine Corps or any Federal law enforcement agency.
